Virginia Tech\'s Spyridon Jullien broke the Atlantic Coast Conference hammer throw overall record at the Charlotte Invitational on Saturday which was held at the Irwin Belk Track & Field facility. Jullien (Jr., Athens, Greece) threw the hammer in an NCAA regional qualifying mark of 228\'9\" (69.73m) to break the four-year conference overall record by more than 20 feet at the Charlotte Invitational this past weekend. The previous hammer throw ACC record of 208\'1\" (63.42m) was set by Isaiah Oglesby (NC State) in 2001.
