scrunners: What were you thinking going into the state meet?
tones: I was thinking that our team should have an excellent chance at repeating as team champions.

scrunners: How did your race unfold at the state meet?
tones: I ran the race with the best of my ability and that\'s exactly what I was trying to do.

scrunners: Did you achieve what you wanted? Explain.
tones: Yes, we won as a team and I was one of the fastest people in the Class AAA race.

scrunners: Do your team achieve their goals?
tones: Yes, we won another state title.

scrunners: At the starting line, what were you thinking and feeling?
tones: I was a little excited and nervous, but we pulled through.

scrunners: Did your team do something the night before to stay motivated?
tones: We united and gathered like we always do.

scrunners: Over the season, what kind of training did you undergo, in preparation for state?
tones: We trained harder and faster this year than any other year and were trained to peak at the state meet by our fantastic coaching.

scrunners: Are you running other cross country meets now that the season?
tones: I may, I honestly have no idea.

scrunners: At an overall view, what did you think of the state meet and its competition?
tones: The state meet had an emense amount of competition, which greatly increased from last year.

scrunners: What kind of improvement have you seen in the sport over the years?
tones: Well, over the years cross country has improved, in my eyes, and greatly effected my life. It has improved my physical and mental abilities. It just basically has built stronger character and discipline to my personality.

scrunners: Following the state meet, does your team celebrate?
tones: Yes, our team has a cross country party with all members of the team.

scrunners: On the Sandhills course, where is the most challenging location?
tones: The hill on course is the challengest location.

scrunners: How much rest do you take after cross country?
tones: I take around two weeks.

scrunners: Is this an active rest?
tones: Yes, I play basketball and soccer almost everyday.

scrunners: Are you running track?
tones: Yes, I will run track.

scrunners: What events are you thinking to run?
tones: Probably the two mile, mile and 3200-relay.

scrunners: What event has been your favorite in the past?
tones: Well I have liked the mile race, but i think I might favor the two-mile this year.

scrunners: Who has been your biggest individual and team competitor all season?
tones: Well my teammate Marshall Meyer is basically my mentor and is the one that has influenced me and taught me about running.

scrunners: When did you start to run?
tones: A couple weeks into the 2004 cross country season.

scrunners: Do you remember your first race?
tones: Quite faintly, I remember that first race was one of the most difficulties I have done.

scrunners: What kind of training did you undergo over the summer?
tones: I trained more focused and I actually trained during the summer.

scrunners: Did you attend a running camp, if so which one?
tones: I attended App. State\'s running camp.

scrunners: What did you learn at the camp?
tones: I learned that I had the ability to run faster.

scrunners: What meet has been the most challenging this year?
tones: The Eye Opener because it was full of excellent competition.

scrunners: Have you ever been injured?
tones: I have never been injured.

scrunners: What keeps you motivated to get out the door on a daily basis for life and athletics?
tones: The fact that I am very competitive and my family and friends keep me motivated.

scrunners: What would you consider your most challenging race? How did you fare in this event? Explain.
tones: The 2006 State Meet, everyone on my team ran their race and we all did well.

scrunners: hat do you look for in a coach and what do you expect a coach to look for in you?
tones: The coach has to have knowledge of running and the coach has to see that my team and me have potential.

scrunners: Are you looking to compete in college athletics?
tones: I am undecided because I don\'t know if I can compete at the college level.

scrunners: Do you think you will ever coach the sports? If so, why and what level?
tones: I have no idea, if I do it would probably be at the high school level.

scrunners: How does your training vary from one season to the other?
tones: I have trained more and more each year.

scrunners: Have you ever met a profession athlete?
tones: Yes, at the Nike Kickoff classic and some professional basketball players.

scrunners: What did you learn from this individual?
tones: The importance of pursing your dreams.

scrunners: If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
tones: I would love to make a difference in others and have the ability to do so.
