Record-holder Jasmine Quinn competing in Sandlapper Classic

Fort Dorchester’s Jasmine Quinn, the top state returner in the 200, 100 hurdles (state record holder) and long jump will be competing in the 200, 100 hurdles and long jump at the Sandlapper Classic. 

Quinn broke Pendleton alumna Jasmin Stowers' 100-meter hurdles record of 13.90 in the Class AAAA girls race with a time of 13.84 seconds in 2013. 

Wando’s Sarah Lee is seeded no. 1 in the pole vault. Lee is the top state returner in the event from last season.

Goose Creek’s Deandre Daniels (400 top returner, 48.04) is entered in the 200 and 400. Daniels is also on Goose Creek’s 4x100-meter relay team and and 4x400-meter relay. 

Daniel’s Gabriel Haughey is traveling with teammate Jacob Slann to Charleston for the 800 and 1600-meter runs. 

The Sandlapper Classic starts today at 6 p.m. This is the first year the meet at West Ashley has moved to two days. Day two starts at 9 a.m. with field events. Running starts at 10 a.m. Saturday.
