What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
It means a lot, I am very thankful for the opportunity and enjoy help giving back to the community.
What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
I've heard about it through teammates who have previously participated in the run and have heard great things about the experience.
What do you hope to experience during the event?
I hope to have fun while participating while helping the hospital.
How are you preparing to run with a football?
I have recently been letting my legs heal so I haven't began practicing yet. I will probably just get use to the feel of holding a football to prepare.
How would you rate your senior season?
It overall was a success, I achieved many things individually and we accomplished almost all of our goals as a team.
What future goals do you have?
I hope to attend either Clemson or Mississippi State to study engineering.
Have you made the decision to complete at the next level? Please explain.
I hope to walk-on wherever I attend, I love running and I wish to continue it as long as I am able too.
How did I get involved with the sport and when?
My mother was running for fun when I was in seventh grade and she introduced me to cross country and I began running for high school team.
Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
No, I do not.
How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
I have seen the number of runners increase throughout the past 6 years. I have also seen the state get faster as a whole.
What was your motivation for your final XC season?
Going into the season I wanted to achieve our team goals so I decided I would do whatever it would do to achieve them.
If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
Being able to fly because I've always wondered how Superman feels getting called a bird all the time.
