COLUMBIA -- Former Hilton Head runner David Adams, the state record holder in cross country (14:37) 
made an appearance Saturday at the South Carolina High School League Cross Country State Championships.
Adams handed out awards to Class AAA boys team winner Hilton Head.
The South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association acknowledged longtime coaches Eileen and Jim Kilbreth as they ended their coaching career today. Several former runners of the duo were in attendance.
