The Hillcrest cross country team finished second (boys) and third (girls) among three teams that raced at Byrnes High School Wednesday. Grant Dillard paced the boys, finishing fifth overall at 19:41. Ashleigh Brooks was fastest among the girls, finishing eighth overall at 23:50.

Hillcrest competed in the Coaches Classic in Columbia, S.C. Saturday and the girls varsity team paced Ram cross country teams by finishing 14th out of 42 teams. There were 120 schools represented in the event overall and more than 1,000 runners.
