When is the deadline for the Clemson Youth and Masters Invitational?
The deadline is Monday, January 20.
What made you decide to switch to a two-day meet?
We actually just switched it back to a one day meet. Registration was way down and in talking to many of the past participants, it was going to be tough for them to get out of school. Initially we felt it would help relieve some pressure of trying to get it all in one day.
How can people go about registering for the meet?
They can go to DirectAthletics.com to register: http://www.directathletics.com/meets/track/31870.html
What do you hope to see on the track and field on Jan. 24-25, from a meet competition, etc. standpoint?
As when we started this event, we just wanted to provide an opportunity to compete indoors.
How many athletes do you hope will compete?
We hope to have around the same as last year; 800 or so.
Do you have recommendations for spectators?
There is a $5 admission fee, so please try to bring exact change. Also, spectators and coaches are allowed to bring in food and drinks for their kids.
Are more officials needed? If so, how do they go about signing up to help?
We can always use more officials! They can contact me or Val Beesley to get on the list.
Do you have plans more indoor high school level meets?
Yes. We are hosting an USATF age group meet on February 8 at Clemson.
