The 2007 Clemson High School indoor invitational, set for January 27, is a South Carolina High School League sanctioned event, according to the meet Web site.
Discussed at the South Carolina Track and Cross Country Coaches Association meeting on January 13, this means an athlete must compete under their high school team and counts towards one of 16 allotted outdoor meets in South Carolina.
Indoor track and field is not a sanctioned sport in South Carolina.

Stowers first at Eastern Challenge
Pendleton hurdler Jasmine Stowers finished first in the 55-meter hurdles in 8.03 seconds at the Eastern Challenge in Chapel Hill, N.C. Stowers was second in the preliminaries with a time of 8.19.
Stowers set a new freshman class high school national record in the event, according to Quick Striders club coach K.B. Brown.
Brown mentioned the previous record was set by Charlynna Foster (8.05) in 1995.
