Pendleton's Jasmine Stowers is entered in this weekend's UK High School Invitational at Nutter Fieldhouse in Lexington, Ky.
Stowers is entered in the 60-meter hurdles and 60-meter dash.
Stowers, running for Quick Striders, is scheduled to compete against U.S. high school national record holder Jacquelyn Coward (Tenn.) in the hurdles event.
Coward has a seed time of 13.27 and Stowers 13.82.
At the Tiger Invitational (Feb. 9-10) Stowers tied for second in the 60-meter hurdles with former Westside star Polly Hardy (Clemson) in 8.52 seconds.
In the preliminaries Hardy was first in 8.49 seconds and Stowers second in 8.53.
Club coach K.B. Brown mentioned next up for Stowers following this weekend, "She has been invited to compete at Nike Indoor Nationals where she finished fourth last year."
Nationals is slated for March 10-11 in Landover, Md.
