COLUMBIA – Jasmine Quinn continued her dominating performance Saturday at the SCSHL state meet, winning the girls AAAA 100- and 200-meter dash and the 100-
meter hurdles.
The Fort Dorchester senior set a new state meet record in the hurdles with a time of 13.54. The old mark was 13.84 set last year by Quinn.
Saturday’s showing completed a four-event, first place sweep for Quinn. She set a new state meet record on Friday in the girl’s long jump.
Another state meet record was broken Saturday, this one in the girls AAAA 4x400 relay. Sophomores Arlicia Bush and Amarrah Cooks, along with senior Mecca Mason and eighth grader Johnaida Eliscar turned in a time of 3:49.07 for Ridge View High. Their performance broke a 21-year-old state meet record in the event held by Spring Valley.
In the team competition in AAAA, the J.L. Mann girls placed first with 71 points.
