Update: Brown back in intensive care

Westside and Quick Striders coach Kwabene Brown is back in intensive care following a second surgery last Thursday, according to an e-mail sent by USATF-S.C.

The e-mail said his brain was swelling.

Per family and doctor's request, he is not allowed phone calls or vistors at this time.

Westside and Quick Striders track and field coach Kwabene (KB) Brown is intensive care at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta where he had surgery Thursday morning for a brain aneurysm, according to e-mail sent by the USATF-SC association.

Brown was rushed to an Anderson hospital Wednesday following the emergency at 11 a.m.

At USATF Junior Olympics State meet last weekend in Rock Hill, Quick Striders club members and Brown managed hurdle setup.
