Mauldin girls seventh at Great American
Mauldin girls cross country team finished seventh out of 16 teams in the Nike Race of Champions. The Mavericks tallied 186 points and were led by senior Alyssa Kulik (17th, 19:03).
Mann junior Kate Borowicz finished 15th overall in 18:59.6.
Blackmon second runner for N.C. State at Pre Nationals
Northwestern alumna Angelina Blackmon placed 13th overall for North Carolina State University Saturday with a 6,000-meter time of 20:43. N.C. State placed 10th in team scoring. Blackmon is a senior Pack runner.

Niehaus scores for Stanford at Pre Nationals
Spring Valley alumna Kate Niehaus was the final scorer for Stanford University at Pre Nationals Saturday. Niehaus finished 43rd over the 6,000-meter course in 21:08, running in the same race as Blackmon.
