What does it mean to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and helping the hospital?
I am super excited and honored to be named to the Shrine Bowl Run team and looking forward to helping the hospital.

What did you hear about the Shrine Bowl Run before this year?
I learned from teammates and coaches that it was an amazing opportunity to help our at the Shriners Hospital.

What do you hope to experience during the event?
I hope to experience joy to be in such an amazing event and get to meet some new people that hold the same interests in running as I do.

How are you preparing to run with a football?
I hope to secure the football while I am running so that nobody strips it from me and so that I don't fumble (like the Gamecocks), and maybe strike a Heisman pose or two.

How would you rate your senior season?
I would rate my senior season a 10/10.  Coming into the cross country season our team wasn't favored to win the region but we exceeded expectations and won the region and finished third at the state meet.

What future goals do you have?
Next year I plan to attend Brigham Young University.  After attending college for a year I then plan to serve a two year church mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Have you made the decision to compete at the next level? Please explain.
Yes, I will not be running at the college level and hope to enjoy my senior track season as much as I enjoyed the cross country season.

How did you get involved with the sport and when?
I started running in seventh grade and really enjoyed it and ran again the next year in eighth grade.  From then I got caught up in other sports and didn't run cross country until my senior season with a little help of convincing of coaches and other friends that ran on the team.

Do you have any relation or know someone that has attended the Shriners Hospital?
I do not.

How have you seen the sport change in the state? Please explain.
I have not, but is exciting to be in the race atmosphere before the big races.

What was your motivation for your final XC season?
To run with my teammates and compete with the other top teams in our state.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
To help those in need by serving others, and to promote world peace.
