ashley: Yes, we decided to run at the same time.
scrunners: How has it been to have a twin on the team?
ashley: It made it easier to be on the team because when we first started we didn't know anyone, so it was scary but to know that I always had somebody with me it was a lot easier. Its also nice because I always have somebody to sit beside on the bus.
scrunners: Do you see having a twin on your team helping your running?
ashley: Yes, because she pushes me to run faster and harder especially during the off season she pushes me when I don't want to be pushed and she's probably the only one who could do that.
scrunners: What has been your biggest challenge with a twin on your team?
ashley: I'm not as outgoing as everyone else because I didn't need to make friends because I already had her and also the competition and feeling more competitive toward her than anybody else and feeling bad when she beat me.
scrunners: Do you have a specific tradition prior to a race?
ashley: Our team prays and we say a chant and I personally pray and try to get all the butterflies out.
scrunners: Do you see you two going to the same college?
ashley: Yes, we are going to the same college. I think it will be easier to adapt to college with my twin because I will already have a best friend there to go through the same things with me and we can help each other out.
scrunners: How does your coach tell you two apart
ashley: She's way faster than me.
scrunners: Do you have any other family members that run?
ashley: No.
scrunners: What do you think it takes to be a cross country runner?
ashley: Discipline, hard work, a strong will to do well, perserverance.
scrunners: What do you want to achieve the rest of this season and the future?
ashley: I want to get my time down to 24:30 and finish strong. I also want to go to college and become a teacher when I get out of school.
