Shrine Bowl Run coach Scott Barefield announced the 2008 Shrine Bowl Run team Saturday at the conclusion of the South Carolina High School League State Championships.
Barefield, the coach at Nation Ford, analyzed meet results of senior runners to choose the team for the Dec. 20 event that starts at the Shriner's Hospital in Greenville and ends at Gibbs Stadium in Spartanburg.
Runners are escorted by police as they run the Shrine Bowl game day football the morning of the game between North and South Carolina.
Nine Class AAAA, 11 Class AAA and five Class AA runners make up the team.
