Taco Bell Classic co-meet director Kevin Shaw announced today over 2,200 athletes from 185 schools and 11 states are entered in this weekend's two-day meet at Spring Valley in Columbia.

2009 Shaw Shakedown: Key athletes and events to watch
Shaw resides in Boone, N.C. and has returned to help with the meet following his teaching and coaching career at Spring Valley.
Entry lists are expected to be posted late tonight, according to Shaw.

Shaw mentioned to coaches in an e-mail, there will be declarations for the 400-meter run, 400-meter hurdles and 1600-meter relay.
"Although we have a national feel to our meet, it is still run locally by a bunch of enthusiastic, energetic track junkies from Spring Valley," said Shaw. "Everything you can do to make the process easier for your athletes and meet management would be greatly appreciated."
