Greenville's Knox Young finished seventh in the 2023 elite Millrose Games mile Saturday in New York City at The Armory. Young ran 4:13.14, the top time for South Carolina's 2023 indoor track and field season and three seconds off his outdoor mile best (4:10.46).
Young ran a 4:17 earlier this season in North Carolina at the Mondo Elite HS Invitational.
Young added his coach Esther Erb Atkins joined him and his father, Bryant, for the Millrose Games. Young returns to Greenville Sunday morning.
