Jasmin Stowers tops KTC field in 60 hurdles, Sandi Morris wins pole vault

Senior hurdler Jasmin Stowers (Quick Striders/Pendleton) ran 8.70 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles final Saturday at the KTC Invitational, held at East Tenn. State University in Johnson City.

Behind Stowers was Kendell Williams (8.72). Stowers finished first in the her preliminary heat (8.94), the second fastest time going into the finals.

Sandi Morris (Greenville), competing unattached, cleared 11 feet, six inches to win the pole vault. Second place finisher was Hadley-Reed Hancock (10-06). Morris finished fourth in the hurdles finals (9.08). Morris qualified with a top three preliminary time of 9.04 seconds.

Briana Nelson (Quick Striders/Mann) finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.66 seconds.

Nelson finished third in the 200-meter dash finals (25.36). Going into the finals Nelson finished with a second place preliminary time of 25.22 seconds.
