Update (9.21.04): Itay Magidi of Clemson was named the Atlantic Coast Conference men\'s performer of the week.
This past weekend, Clemson hosted their annual invitational, held on campus. The girls ran a 5K. This meet counted twice for South Carolina teams. The NCAA counts the Clemson Invite as an actual meet, and then takes the teams from South Carolina and scores them as a smaller meet. Over all, Emory, from Georgia, won the meet with 39 points. USC-Columbia was second with 54 points, and Clemson was third with 58 points. Western Carolina followed with 115 points, UNC Greensboro was fifth with 154 points, Georgia Southern was sixth with 167 points, Gardner Webb was seventh with 183 points, Southern Wesleyan was eighth with 223 points, Charleston Southern was ninth with 238 points, Piedmont was 10th with 286 points, and South Carolina State was 11th with 286 points.
In the SC Collegiate Championships, Clemson was first with 26 points, South Carolina was second with 29 points, Southern Wesleyan was third with 92 points, Charleston Southern was fourth with 108 points, and South Carolina State was fifth with 136 points.
Individually, Casey Phillips of Clemson won the meet with a time of 18:03.9. Jenny Lake (USC) was behind her with a time of 18:16.7 and following her was Angela David of Emory University with a time of 18:31.5
