Briana Nelson finished first in the 400-meter dash finals today at Nike Indoor Nationals in Boston.
"It feels really good to come and win for the third time," said Nelson. "It was really exciting to win especially since I was only picked to get third ... I really wanted to run faster than 55 since I ran a 54.1 last year, but I'm satisfied with the win. The race went great. I got the lead at the break and just maintained."
It's really exciting to know that my team did such a great job," said Nelson about the Patriots' team win at the Diamond Hornet Invitational. "I can't wait until next weekend for us to run in Jacksonville (Fla.)."
