The Falcon is racing at Eye Opener Saturday with his Columbia-area team. Thompson is the number two cross country runner at Ben Lippen in 2025 after the team's first meet.
Thompson ran 17:58 5K on Aug. 16 to finish 33rd at the Skyhawk Invitational in Columbia.
This is Thompson's fourth year as a cross country runner.
In 2024, Thompson ran 18:47 at Eye Opener on The Roger Milliken Center course in Spartanburg. He has a personal best of 17:12, run during the 2024 Heathwood Hall Highlander Invitational.
