Why is it that short runs often seem to drag on more than long runs?  This always happens to me.  I woke up this morning actually feeling relieved that I only had to run three miles today.  After all, it’s only three, right?  Somehow, however, the “only three” miles seemed to take centuries longer than even my slowest half-marathon.  I mean, it’s totally mental.  For a long run, I go out there, thinking, “See ya in a couple of hours, world”, feeling prepared as I immerse myself into the run.  

Youth cross country challenge state meet venue announced Aug 28, 2012

We are happy to announce that the ES/MS Club Cross Country Challenge State Championship is confirmed for Oct. 20, 2012 at the Clemson University / Sandhills Research Center;  also the site of the South Carolina State High School Cross Country Championships.

Lexington girls are mathematically the favorite Class AAAA team going into the season, based on last season's results and removing graduates. Wando is second and Dorman third. Class AAAA boys next and then other classifications.
