15 MILE RELAY

@ RIVERSIDE MIDDLE (615 Hammett Bridge Road, Greer)

Site - Riverside Middle School track.
Start/finish/exchange zone will be on the softball field side of the straight-a-way.

Parking - Spectators MUST enter from the Hammett Bridge Road entrance (across from Riverside High). When this lot is full, you must park at Riverside High. Parking at Riverside Middle is $5.00. Parking at the high school is free, but you will have to walk over ½ mile to the course. NO cars will be admitted to the school from Gibbs Shoals Road. HANDICAPPED vehicles (with tag) may enter and park from the Gibb Shoals Rd entrance.


Team buses MUST enter from Gibbs Shoals Road, drop off at the track and park in the school bus loop. You will be directed where to park after drop-off.

Team Area - Tents must be placed in the softball outfield. Porta-Johns will be available on the lacrosse field and next to the school. The school building is OFF-LIMITS.

Racing Format - each school may enter as many teams of 5 runners each as you wish. Each runner will complete the 2-loop 3 mile course and hand-off (slap hands) to the next runner on that team. Coaches must designate teams when they arrive as "A-Team", "B-Team", etc. for all of their runners. Places are determined by the overall finish of each team within their division. To help ease making 5 man teams or to just give some of your runners some more mileage, runners may run twice on the same team or again on another team. The anchor runner for each team must wear a number.

Race Times - Alumni 5K Run at 7:45

HS Girls begin at 8:15.

HS Boys begin at 8:30. Awards will begin after last team has finished!

Awards - Special relay batons will be given to the top three teams in the "A", "B", and "C" team races and the first place team in "D", "E", and "F" team races. Coaches may run as many teams as you want, but awards will only go to the "A-E" teams. Ribbons will also be given to each runner on these teams.

Results - Results will be kept for team competition only. Coaches will be responsible for collecting individual splits.

Entry Fee - $5 for each 5 runner team-maximum $25 per gender, $50 per school. Make checks payable Eastside High.

Entry - Email Eric Cummings (ercummin@greenville.k12.sc.us) with your intentions to compete and how many teams (boys and girls) you will be bringing. Please tell us by Tuesday August 20th.You may signup by 2:30 today (Wednesday the 21st)
