*Meet resumes Friday with girls 1600, postponed Thursday.
For the running event prelims, the winner in each heat plus the next fastest times will go to the finals (eight athletes in final). For shot put, discus, long jump, and triple jump, each athlete will get three attempts. The top eight athletes will advance to the finals, which will immediately follow the prelims.
