DATE: Saturday, March 12, 2016

SITE: Eastside High School track. New 8 lane rubber track.

TIME SCHEDULE: See attached tentative schedule.

# OF ENTRIES: A limit of 4 athletes and 2 relay teams per school per event. This meet will have a national sanction.

ENTRY: All entries will be done on-line through MileSplit at www.scrunners.com . DO NOT EMAIL YOUR ENTRIES TO US. NO UNATTACHED ATHLETES ARE ALLOWED TO COMPETE AT THIS MEET. No day of meet registration will take place.

ENTRY FEE: High school entry fee: $75 per team* ($150 if entering boys and girls) or $10 per individual.

*NOTE: A team consists of 8 or more athletes per gender. The fee is an entry fee not a competition fee. Fees are based on the number of entries and not on the number of athletes who compete. No shows are not entitled to a refund. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GIVE CHANGE FOR CASH OR FOR OVERWRITTEN CHECKS. NO REFUNDS. Please identify your school name in the memo line of the check and note whether the check is for boys, girls, or both. IF MAILED THE ENTRY FEE MUST BE RECEIVED BY WEDNESDAY, March 9, 2016.

ENTRY DEADLINE: ENTRIES MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE NO LATER THAN MIDNIGHT ON TUESDAY, March 8, 2016.

ENTRIES POSTED: Entries will be posted on SCRunners on Thursday, March 10, 2016. ALL EVENTS ARE NOT PRE-SEEDED. You must declare your intention to compete first and then we will seed the event.

VOLUNTEERS: All teams are asked to provide at least 1 coach or volunteer to assist in working the meet. It is very important that each coach/volunteer is available to serve as an official, clerk, or helper where needed for the entire meet/event in order for the meet to be organized and run efficiently. All head coaches are asked to provide the name of the coach/volunteer to Ed Boehmke via email no later than Thursday, March 10 at 11:00am. In addition, please indicate which event each coach/volunteer is interested in working as an official/clerk/helper. All coaches/volunteer’s working the meet must check in with Ed Boehmke when they arrive at the facility for their event assignment.

CHECK-IN: All athletes must check-in for their event(s) AT LEAST 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start of that event or they will be scratched. NO EXCEPTIONS! Athletes competing in multiple events should check-in for all events at one time. CHECK-IN WILL NOT BE HELD UP FOR AN ATHLETE TO COMPETE IN ANOTHER EVENT. Check-in is for confirmation or scratches only. No additions or substitutions will be allowed.

SCORING: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 (8 places). A & B relay teams may score!

AWARDS: Awards will be given to the top 8 individual/relay teams and top 3 team finishers. The awards will be presented at the conclusion of each event.
EVENT APPAREL: Official Chick-fil-A apparel will be available for purchase in many colors, designs, and styles.

PACKET PICK UP: Packets can be picked up beginning at 8:00am near the finish line at the track.

PARKING: Free parking will be available at the facility in the east and west lots and in front of the school.

ADMISSION: Admission fee is $5.00 per person. Children 12 and under are free.

CONCESSIONS: Concessions will be available.

LOCKER ROOMS: None available.

TRAINERS: Trainers will be provided by the Greenville Hospital System.

NOTE: In the shot put, discus, triple jump and long jump events, each competitor will be allowed four attempts. There will be no finals. There will be a hard line set at the minimum measuring distances shown above.
NOTE: NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE TRACK AREA AND INFIELD EXCEPT CONTESTANTS IN UNIFORM AND OFFICIALS.
NOTE: Only rubber-soled shoes may be used for the shot put and discus. Track flats or spiked shoes using ONLY pyramid spikes that do not exceed 1/4" may be used for the high jump, long jump and all running events. No needle spikes are allowed. Spikes will be checked when the athlete checks in for his/her event.
Note: No athletic or duct tape are allowed to be used as lane or runway markers. Only vinyl (electrician) tape is allowed.

Track Events – Athletes and relay teams must declare at least 45 minutes before the scheduled start of the race. Please help us keep the number of heats to a minimum by scratching athletes that will not compete and making sure that those that confirm actually compete. If the weather dictates we may go to a rolling schedule at any time and could get well ahead of schedule.
