Coaches,
I know there have been questions about the meet tomorrow. I
just wanted to let everyone know that we plan on going ahead with the meet as
scheduled. We confirmed with our timer this morning and he is ready to go.
As you know, the forecast is calling for rain. Depending on
when you look at the forecast and which weather service you are looking at,
there is a 30-80% chance of a light to steady rain overnight and throughout the
morning. It has been fairly dry this week so the course is in good condition at
the moment. We plan on rerouting a couple of spots to avoid the worst areas and
adding some mulch to other spots to cut down on the mud.
As yall are aware, meet director decisions can be tough and it
is hard to know what the "correct" decision is in situations like these. We
have had several discussions about what to do for tomorrow ultimately decided
that we wanted to give the kids the opportunity to compete. We appreciate your patience
and understand as we try to make the best of the situation. Thank you for your
understanding and I hope to see everyone tomorrow for a great, albeit wet,
meet.

We have reached our limit for teams. If you registered your team but need to enter athletes or update entries and are asked for a password, please email the meet director at chrisardis@hotmail.com. Thank you for your understanding.
Coaches, I sent everyone an email with some pre-meet information. If you did not get it, please reach out. If you know you are only going to run only varsity or only JV, please let me know. This will help with making sure I have enough starting boxes. If I do not hear from you I am going to assume teams with 8 or fewer athletes in a gender will only run in the varsity races. If teams have more than 8, I will assume you plan on running athletes in both the JV and varsity races. Thanks.

The course is located at Northwestern HS on Highway 5 (Main Street) in Rock Hill, SC. It starts on campus at Northwestern and covers two other school campuses that are located on both sides of the school. It is an open course that is very viewer friendly. Buses will be parked in the F gum parking, which is located on the Applied Technology Center side of the school.
Per district policy, please no pets.
9:00 am JV Girls (Unlimited Entries)
9:45 am JV Boys (Unlimited Entries)
10:15 am Varsity Girls (8 entries)
10:45 am Varsity Boys (8 entries)
The meet is sanctioned in South Carolina and is open to 7th through 12th grades.
Awards:
The top 2 varsity teams will receive plaques (boys and girls teams).
Varsity Races: The top 15 individuals will receive medals
JV Races: the top 15 individual will receive medals.
Entries Due Wednesday, September 7th at 10:00 pm.
Entry Fee:
$10.00 per individual.
$45.00 per team or 80.00 for boys and girls teams
Admission: $7.00 and has to be purchased online at Northwestern Athletics. We will post a link for tickets one week from the meet date.
