Northwestern High School is partnering with York County to host the 2026 Bob Jenkins York County Cross Country Meet on Saturday October 17th at Catawba Bend Preserve.

PARKING
There is limited parking at the facility. We are asking that all teams take a bus to the meet. Also, please encourage spectators to carpool as there are limited spots. Please see maps of the facility and course below.

The following schools are invited to compete:
Northwestern HS, Catawba Ridge, Clover HS, Fort Mill HS, Nation Ford HS, Northwestern, Lake Pointe, Lake Wylie, Providence Classical, Riverwalk, Rock Hill, South Pointe, York Comprehensive HS, York County Homeschool, York Prep, and Westminster Catawba.
Registration Deadline
Registration will close at 8 p.m. on October 14th (Wednesday)
Entry Fee
$140 per team. This goes to paying the timer and the purchase of the awards.

8:15am Coaches Meeting
8:30am National Anthem
9:00am Varsity Boys (7 entries)
9:30am Varsity Girls (7 entries)
10:00am York County Opening Ceremony and Ribbon Cutting
10:30am JV Boys (unlimited entries)
11:00am JV Girls (unlimited entries)
11:45am Awards (approximate)
We will have Urban Announcing providing commentary and music throughout the event.
Timing
Mitchell Timing will serve as our timer
Awards
Medals: Top 14 in the Varsity race and top 7 in the JV races
Team plaques: 1st and 2nd place varsity, 1st only JV
Trainer/Water
We will have an athletic trainer on site. However, each school will be responsible for bringing their own water to the meet. There will be a designated spot for team tents.
Food Trucks
The county will have the following food trucks on site: Delish Frozen Treats, Kona Ice, Travelin' Tom Coffee, Mel's Hot Dogs, Royal Eats, and Nyheim's.
Park Rules
- No swimming in any of the ponds or river
- Do not harass any wildlife
- Do not enter any buildings or structures
- No destruction or vandalism of any kind
- Do not enter VIP area
- Park in Designated Areas Only, do not park along roadsides
- Please obey speed limits. Park-wide speed limit is 20 m.p.h.
