Cross Country Coaches,
Pinewood Cross Country is hosting its first Cross Country Invitational this coming fall. Your team is invited to attend. The invitational will be held at the Ponds Conservancy trails in Summerville off rt. 17A. We are excited to offer such an event for all local Low Country teams as well as teams outside our area.
The fee will be $30 per gender team or $60 for both.
Top two Varsity teams will receive plaques, while top 15 varsity runners will receive medals. Awards may be given to top 7 JV runners. This depends on participation numbers.
Event t-shirts will be available for $10
Schedule:
9 a.m. Varsity Girls (limit 7)
9:35 a.m. Varsity Boys (limit 7)
10 a.m. JV Boys
10:30 a.m. JV Girls
11:15 a.m. Awards
Course: The 5K course is run almost entirely on trails that are 5-8 feet wide with smooth flat surface. There is a slight hill near the 2nd mile. Course will be marked for each mile and each meter.
Parking: There will be an area for spectator parking near the race. Buses can drop off athletes and will be directed to a parking area near the entrance of the neighborhood.
