HOPKINS -- Bishop England's Griffie Loy broke the discus record of 185 feet from 1996 (Cleveland Pickney, Sumter) with a personal best of 196 feet, six inches. The mark is a U.S. no. 5. Loy also won the Class AA boys shot put.
