What made you decide to commit to Clemson?
When I went on a visit to Clemson this fall, I fell in love with it all over again. I absolutely love the team, the coaches, and I felt training-wise we were on the same page. Clemson has what I want academically as well, which was a must.
What does it mean to stay near home? Was that a large factor in the decision?
Staying near home wasn’t much of a deciding factor for me. In fact, it made my decision a little easier. Getting accustomed to college life is difficult in itself, not to mention running on top of that, but being close to home and not really having to worry about home sickness takes a lot of pressure off the whole process.
What was the reaction of the coaching staff?
When I called Coach Elliott to tell him my decision, I could tell he was excited. He told me that he had already counting on me to be part of the program, though, so it probably wasn’t much of a surprise!
