The Riverside cross country teams left Wednesday in preparation for the Disney Classic and the girls team is the favorite for the elite team competition race, according to the virtual meet.

The girls won the Wendy’s Invitational at McAlpine Park last weekend.
Teams in the girls elite race, called Maleficent Division, will start at 8:50 a.m.
Lake Braddock and Marvin Ridge look to be contenders for the top three with Riverside scoring a low 37 in the virtual meet.
The Warriors top five are predicted to finish in the top 14, all under 19:30. Cate Ambrose leads the team with a season best of 18 minutes, 7 seconds.
Also competing in the meet is Greer Middle College and Waccamaw.
