WNC Carnival: Summey leads GMC
Greer Middle College's Morgan Summey took control early and finished with a time of 19 minutes, 54 seconds to win the WNC Carnival invitational race. Summey's time was the third-fastest of the day, ncrunners.com reported. The Greer Middle College team finished first with 39 points to second-place Northwest Cabarrus (113).
NCRunners reported the Blazers would have finished sixth in the championship race.
