Providence Invitational: S.C. shows strength at McAlpine

Heathwood Hall's Maryah Nasir won the three mile Skyhawk Invitational girls race at Hammond School in 18 minutes, 59.94 seconds. Nasir, the only runner under 19 minutes, defended her title from 2015. 

Dutch Fork ran a sub-21 team average for the team title with 72 points. Landrum was second (83) and Flora third (91). 

Wardlaw Academy's Hammond Manly finished 13 seconds ahead of second-place Michael Cook with the fastest time of 16 minutes, 13 seconds in the boys race. Six runners ran a sub-17 three mile time Saturday. 

A meet that consisted of both private and public schools saw Landrum win the team title over Dutch Fork, 57-82.
