Oct. 24 course viewing update from Aiken High School

"For all the teams coming to the Aiken Steeplechase state preview today. The course is marked with disc cones. Keep the disc cones to your left as you move through the course. Around the top curve of the track before you get to the grand stand and inside the infield keep the cones to your right. Roger Carpenter will be at the course today to help guide teams through the course."

 Also included: Times to preview the course. Student-athletes must be accompanied by their coaches or athletic directors.

Note from SCHSL

The Aiken Steeplechase, located at 2020 Richland Avenue East, Aiken, SC 29801, will be open for cross country course access on the following dates:

  • Saturday, October 4 | 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

  • Friday, October 24 | 3 p.m.-7 p.m.

Please enter through the red gate on Richland Avenue and park to the right after entering. Driving around the property or course is strictly prohibited.

Restroom facilities will not be available on these dates, so please plan accordingly. We also ask that everyone helps keep the area clean.

The course map is attached, please note that student-athletes must be accompanied by their coaches or athletic directors. Lastly, the SCHSL website has been updated as well for further information.
