Spring Valley's boys cross country Ryan Barry is this week's MileSplit South Carolina boys Future Star.
Barry ran a personal best 16:50 at the VA XC Showcase Oct. 18 - good for the 15th ranking for class of 2029 South Carolina cross country runners.
"He started (running cross country) in mid-August and had an immediate impact for the team," said Oberly. "After just his second race, Ryan had already secured a spot among the top seven."
Barry, the current number six runner for the Vikings, is in his first year running cross country, his coach Matt Oberly told MileSplit SC. Barry is a two-sport athlete - also playing soccer.
