scrunners: How would you rate your performance at the state qualifier?
gordon: My performance wasn’t too bad I just ran to win my heat, nothing more than I needed to.
scrunners: Where you do feel this puts you for state?
gordon: I have a good lane going into the 800 and our relay teams are seated pretty well.
scrunners: What do you want to achieve at state?
gordon: I would like our team to place in the top three, our 4x800 to set a new state record, and for our 4x400 to win a state title. I’d also like to set a new state record in the open 800.
scrunners: You have one year left of high school after this season, what kind of goals do you have for the future?
gordon: My goal is to make the U.S.A. World Junior team this summer and run track in college next year.
scrunners: What kind of 800 race do you prefer? How do you adapt to different kinds of races?
