Elijah Armstrong of Pocatello In the northwest Oregon & Washington runners made their final adjustments prior to their State qualifiers & Idaho runners ran their qualifiers.  The big news was on the national level, where Sara Baxter put in a performace, that was perhaps second only to that of Melody Fairchild.   Baxter ran three miles (not a 5K) at Mt. SAC in 16:00.

girls action at Concordia (by Craig Rice) Adidas Concordia was the highlight of the week with Andrew Gardner & Ella Donaghu topping the bill.   Around the nation it was the return of Edward Cheserek to action that was probably the biggest news, which was a part of Eastern States.  Mary Cain headed the girls' field there.

Amy-Eloise Neale was the top story in the Northwest but there was much happening around the nation of note as well.

Erin Finn leading Foot Locker in 2011   Paige Rice & Julian Heninger led Oregon into action, while Erin Finn, Kaylee Flanagan, Jake Leingang & Josh Brickell showed they are gunning for a return trip to Foot Locker.
