Important information
Here is IMPORTANT info for YOU regarding Saturday's State XC Championship:
UNIFORMS
--Must be matching for all 7 runners! Tops AND shorts.
UNDER GARMENTS
--Under garments must be SOLID COLOR (no stripes, no camo, etc.) AND may only have ONE (small) LOGO. (NOTE: Careful with this! Under-armour usually has one on front and one on back...this is illegal!!)
--If worn by more than one runner, ALL RUNNERS wearing the under garment must have the SAME solid color.
(This rule does NOT apply to socks or sports bras)
HEADBANDS
--Headbands must be SOLID COLOR. Teammates do NOT have to wear the same color headband.
HATS / GLOVES
--NOT allowed unless approved by meet directors. The decision on hats/gloves will be made Saturday AT the meet.
--IF hats/gloves are allowed, then HATS must be SOLID COLOR with NO logo. Teammates do NOT have to have the same color hats.
(gloves, IF allowed, are not restricted)
SUNGLASSES / GLASSES
--NOT allowed unless prescription.
JEWELRY
--NOT allowed AT ALL (High School League rules).
--Watches are OK.

SUBSTITUTIONS
--If you need to sub a runner, you must COMPLETE THE FORM IN YOUR TEAM PACKET and bring the form AND race number to the packet pick-up table. The officers at the table with instruct you from there.
**This must be done AT LEAST 15min prior to race time!!
TEAM AREAS
--NO athletes are allowed in the parking area (or inside ANY building) once you arrive at the meet.
--The corn fields AND bamboo section of the facility are OFF limits.
--Set up TEAM TENTS in the designated area. If you are unsure, ASK!!
**REMINDER: Athletes CAN be disqualified for tampering/harming the grounds at Sandhills! PLEASE remind your athletes to be courteous of the facility! Let's keep our relationship with Sandhills solid!
PARKING
$5 per car will be charged by the SC High School League (even if you have a runner in your car).

11:00am 3A & 4A Awards
11:30am 1A Girls
12:00noon 2A Girls

--Teams should be AT THE STARTING LINE 10 minutes prior to race time.
--Teams will be CHECKED IN at the line (all 7 runners must be present!).
--PARENTS & COACHES must clear the starting area when check-ins begin!
COURSE CLOSED at 8:30am
--The course will be closed to warm-ups/cool-downs at 8:30am. Please use field areas for warm-ups and cool-downs.
T-SHIRTS, etc.
--The High School League will have t-shirts and other items available for purchase.
REGULATIONS FROM THE HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE
a. Individuals or a full team may represent a school.
b. A team will consist of not less than five nor more than seven members.
c. Starting positions will be determined by draw.
d. Team scores will be determined by totaling the numerical position of the first five finishers from each team. The low aggregate scores will determine team winners.
e. A non-team runner's place will be omitted when determining team scores and each team runner will advance in the order of their finish.
f. If teams tie, the tie shall be resolved in accordance with the rule book.
h. No school will be allowed to practice on the course where the state series meets takes place unless it is a school’s home course. Teams may walk the course.
The League will furnish team trophies and medals for the State Champion and the State Runner-up in each Class in the Boys' and Girls' Meets. Medals will be awarded to the first three individual finishers in each Meet.
The coaches association (SCTCCCA) will provide ribbons for 4th-15th AND All-State certificates for the top 15 in each race.
