Meet Information
Due to a change in parking for this year, a limit on the size of the starting line area, and for the safety of the athletes, we are closing registration for this year, based on the number of team entries.
The Mike Moore Lake Murray Invitational is a joint venture with Chapin High School, Dutch Fork High School, and Irmo High School. We are adding an Elite Boys JV race for those athletes who run under 20 minutes in the 5k. We think this would be a fun way to reduce the size of the regular boys JV race and increase competition! We look forward to adding an Elite JV Girls division in the future when numbers dictate for safety.
Parking has changed this year due to local issues. No car parking inside of the park. Cars will park at Chapin Elementary school, $5 per car. There will be people to direct spectators to the race course through a trail behind the school. Buses will drop off athletes in the loop at the front of Crooked Creek Park, then will park the buses at Chapin Presbyterian Church about a mile away. We will provide a shuttle for bus drivers and coaches only. Please help let your parents/spectators/bus drivers know of this change.
Race times are
8:00 Varsity Girls( Up to 10 runners )
8:45 Varsity Boys( Up to 10 runners )
9:30 Elite JV Boys (sub 20:00)
10:15 JV Boys
11:00 JV Girls
There will not be "calls" for race times. Runners should be aware of the current time and when their race begins.
Registration fee is due by Monday 9/11/17. You may enter 10 athletes in the varsity races. Fee is $75 for a team of up to 65 members. Any additional runner is $2 per athlete.
If you're entering Boys and Girls team, the fee per team is $62.50 ( for a total of $125 ), up to 65 runners per team - $2 per runner fee for any additional runners. Entries are due by 11:59 PM on Tuesday 9/12/17. Checks should be made payable to Chapin Eagle Club, due by Monday 9/11/17, mail to:

Trophies will be awarded to top 3 teams in the varsity races, top 2 teams in the JV races and top 15 individuals in each race.
We will again have commemorative t-shirst for sale.

Take exit 91 (Chapin Exit) from I-26 towards Chapin. Take third left past Chapin High School, cross railroad tracks and go straight through the traffic light. Crooked Creek park is 2 miles from the traffic light. Follow signs to the race area in the park. Bus parking will be at Chapin Presbyterian Church. Car and spectator parking will be in the Chapin Elementary School lot next to the park. No drop off inside the Park. Please watch for volunteers directing traffic.
