Time schedule

Welcome to the 2022 Dorman Distance Carnival, which has turned into the "go to" early meet for distance runners in SC! In last year's Elite Mile we saw Noah Ward and Sam Rich battle it out with both running 4:16 for a true mile...and on the girls' side we saw Emily Arenas run 5:08 to hold off Madison Roush in 5:10. Two great races!

Order of Events:

3200m Run 5 entries per gender for each team

400m Dash 2 entries per gender for each team

800m Run 5 entries per gender for each team

Middle School 1600m Run 5 entries per gender for each team

1600m Run 5 entries per gender for each team

Elite Mile Run Qualifiers

4 x 400m Relay (Sprinters) 2 squads per gender...3 turn stagger

4 x 400m Relay (Distance Runners) 4 squads per gender...we will load up heats on waterfall

* Order of the 4x4 will give distance runners a few more minutes to recover from the mile/1600.

Elite Mile entrants can enter "unattached" if their team is not attending. However, we ask that those runners obtain permission from their coach before entering.

Elite Mile Qualifying Standards:

Girls under 5:40, boys under 4:40 for 1600m/mile with a verifiable time in MileSplit database. The top 25 entries (from both the 1600 & Elite Mile) will be seeded into the Elite Mile. It is possible that your entries might be moved from one race to another. Please don't enter runners in the Elite Mile who have not met the time standard...they should be entered in the 1600.

The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am; a final time schedule will be posted once the meet is seeded. However, the time schedule is subject to change based on the number of entries for the meet as well as weather conditions. Once a time schedule is established, we will start events up to 10 minutes early, if we are able to...we will not start an event any earlier than that. Be aware that some of the "slower" heats could have a lot of entries.

All races will be girls followed by boys.

We have reached our limit of full teams. If you would like to be put on a waiting list, if a team decides not to attend, let me know.

The entry deadline for scheduled teams is Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 12 noon!

There will be a $5 charge for spectators.
