Blackburn\'s Trip To Athens: Journal Three

We finished the main program of track last night with relays and a couple of other events. Today is only the Marathon, likely live on NBC at 11am (since the women's was).

The high point of Saturday was probably the 4x400s with the women's anchored by Monique Hennagan and the women's race led off by Otis Harris, our South Carolina connections. Both teams won gold.

I took a second trip up the Acropolis yesterday. A beautiful view of the temples and ruins as well as across to the sea near Pireaus.

This has been a great experience. Thanks to all who said "I saw you" or similar comments. Tonight I am going to the closing ceremonies, and catching a flight on Monday at 8:30am. Athens-Munich-Charlotte-Charleston.

Hopefully the hurricane (Gaston) will make the forecast turn to the North.

Talk to you soon.
