What was your most memorable race/competition?

Hillcrest Ram Invitational. It was my first time throwing 100-plus in discus and I broke my PR twice in the same meet.

Out of all your high school accomplishments, which stands out the most?
Making it to Region was my biggest accomplishment. It was a big deal being my second year on the team and to make it with all of the work I put in was a blessing.

If you could do it all over again, what would you change about your athletic career in high school?
If I do it all over I would start doing track as a freshman.

What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
The most difficult obstacle I had to overcome was dealing with my shin injury throughout my senior year.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss the practices the most. To be able to come out to the ring after a long day of school and just to throw was relaxing.

Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
Be coachable.

How have your coaches influenced your performances and your life goals?
My throwing coach has influenced my life goals. Seeing him build a strong throwing program from the ground up and dealing with a lot of road blocks made me want to be a coach. He really cares about his athletes and wants them to do more than just do high school track and that stuck with me.

What kind of impact did you family have on your time as a high school student-athlete?
My mom and my brother was always there for me when I had a long day and just needed to unwind.

What are your college or post high school plans?
Newberry College.

What do you hope to achieve after high school?
Get my bachelor's in social work.

Do you see yourself coaching in the future? Please explain and if so, what level and why?
I think I could see myself coaching in the future. Coach Fogle has been a great influence on me and I think it would be good to get in it and see how it is first hand. I would like to do it at the high school level.

Shout-outs?
My girlfriend Madison for putting up with all the late nights I came home. My mom for understanding and my brother for helping me stick through and continue my career. Coach Bruce for giving me a chance to compete at the collegiate level and continue my career.

If there is one thing in the world you could do, what would it be and why?
I would have one more meet with my teammates. I'm really gonna miss them.
