17-18 Girls 60-meter hurdles


North Carolina's Akala Garrett leads the girls 60-meter hurdles field with a seed time of 8.33. Garrett ran the 8.33 Dec. 4.  Other names to watch in the race are Brittney Jennings and Brianna Rodriguez.

17-18 Boys 60-meter dash 

The field is lead by Georgia's Brandon Moss and includes Caleb Timmons, Carlmelo Martin, Ahmir Smith and Carl Murray.

17-18 Boys 800-meter run


Marcus Guidry leads entries with a 1:55 seed time. Four others are entered with a sub two seed time.

17-18 Girls 800-meter run


The girls 800-meter looks to be a competitive race with several times under 2:20.
Miah Johnson, Jais Ward and Abigail White are some familiar South Carolina names in the 17-18 race.


17-18 Girls 1600-meter run

South Carolina leads the entries with four under 5:18 seed times. Ward is seeded with a 5:09 and Johnson a 5:14.


MileSplit South Carolina (SCRunners) has partnered with a series of 2023 Gamecock Youth Indoor Challenge meets and will live stream all three competitions. The meets, open to youth through high school track and field athletes, are scheduled for Jan. 7, Jan. 15 and Feb. 18.
