COLUMBIA -- In some ways, the sport of high school cross country in South Carolina has changed over the past decade or so; training technique has improved, venues are better suited to the sport, performance equipment is better and timing is more precise than ever, to name a few.

COLUMBIA -- Aiken senior Natasha Dicks set a Taco Bell Classic meet record of 41 feet, 10 inches in the triple jump. The jump is the top mark in the nation.
Ponte Vedra sophomore Nicole Greene headed to South Carolina this weekend for the Taco Bell Classic in Columbia, South Carolina. Greene, the defending 3A state champion in the high jump, showcased her skills and took home the title with a a new season best mark of 5-10. It tied her personal best set last year at the Golden South Classic and currently gives her the state lead, and ties her for fourth nationally in 2013.

COLUMBIA -- Spring Valley boys 4x800-meter relay team upset Lexington in the first relay event of the Taco Bell Classic in 7 minutes, 57 seconds to the Wildcats' 8:01.
