27thAnnual Hickman Relays

Entry Fee- NONE - In exchange for an entry fee, every school is required to provide at least two coaches/adults and enough workers (students or athletes) to run off a field event. Please click on the link on the meet homepage to complete the google form for your schools preferences of a field event by Tuesday February 24th. I will make every attempt to get you the event(s) that you ask for and will do so on a first come/first serve basis. I will assign schools that do not send preferences and then I will send out a list of assignments on Thursday morning. Each school will also be assigned an exchange zone to work throughout the day.
Schools Invited- All schools in South Carolina are invited. Please be aware that non-SCHSL schools may be entered.

Entries-Entry deadline is 12:00 p.m. THURSDAY, February 26th.To register your team and athletes for the Hickman Relays go to www.scrunners.com, select Calendar and then 2026 Outdoor T&F. Find the Hickman Relays and click on the green Online Entry box. This will take you to the Meet Page where you will again click on the green Online Entry box to register. An instructions and FAQ link will also be on the Meet Page. Do not contact Byrnes for online questions. If you cannot find your answer in the FAQs or instructions on the site, contact John Olson at jolson@milesplit.us. Do not wait until the last minute to learn how to use the site or try to solve any problems.
Entry Restrictions
*Each team may enter up to 2 relays in all field events. Each field relay consists of 3 athletes.
*Each team may enter up to 3 relays in all NON-laned running events.
*Each team may enter up to 2 relays in all laned running events.
*Athletes can only compete in 4 events.
* You DO NOT need to enter names for the relay running events. Please enter all names for the field events. Bus Parking- All buses must park in our car line loop. Athletes can then walk down to the track facility. Athlete/Coach Track Entrance- Athletes and coaches may enter any gate. Athletes must be in uniform. Coaches not arriving with their team will be required to show a SCHSL pass.
Spectator Entrance- Spectators may purchase tickets as they enter through our EVOL system as they come to enter the track facility. There will be a $6 fee for all spectators. Tickets will be sold at all gates.
Other Information
*Concessions will be available all day.
*The infield of the track is off limits for any warmups once the meet starts.
*Restrooms are located underneath the football stadium.
*Athletes can warm up on the infield prior to the meet starting.
*Please stay off the baseball field.
*Relay batons will not be provided, please bring enough for all of your teams.
*A distance coach from each school should be on the track for the 4x1600 to help the athletes keep up with laps/legs. *Calls will be made prior to each event. All runners must report to the check-in (clerking) area.
*Three attempts in throws and jumps No tents in the stands. Tents can be placed in the grass areas.
*Javelin will take place on the upper field behind our scoreboard.
*Coaches will be required to stay in designated coaches boxes. Athletes are not allowed in these boxes. ORDER OF EVENTS - David Hickman Relays
Coaches please take some time at practice to explain the legs, staying in lanes, breaking, etc.This will save us a lot of time prior to each relay.
PLEASE NOTE - WE WILL BE ON A ROLLING SCHEDULE. This is a suggestive time schedule. All athletes and coaches should pay attention to the PA announcements for the calls to the events.We will send out an updated suggestive schedule once we have determined the number of heats for all of the events.

*Please remind all athletes in this race to keep up with their own teammates and the number of laps for each runner. Coaches you are welcome to come to the infield or track to monitor your runners. The officials cannot keep track of all of the laps and teams!
