Instructions:
Varsity runners must wear bib numbers. You may enter a maximum of 7 varsity athletes in each race.

Only runners with bib numbers will be scored. Please ensure that your runners wear their bibs on the front of their uniforms. We will only record times for runners with bibs that are visible from the front. Please remind your athletes that they must not tear off the strips from the bib numbers before they have finished!

If you have fewer than 5 runners on either of your teams, please arrange for us to mark your numbers so that we can pick them out easily when we are doing the team scoring.

Coaches are responsible for recording their JV times. A large digital clock will be displayed at the finish line to help in recording times for JV runners.

Each team will be assigned a starting box for varsity and junior varsity runners.

Results:
The results will be sent in to The State newspaper. Please ensure that your athlete's names are spelled as you want them to appear in the newspaper. The results will also be submitted to SCRunners.com.

Course:
The course is an approximately 2240 meter loop that is run twice, plus 220 meters from the start to the loop, 150 meters from the loop to the final turn and 150 meters from the final turn to the finish chute. The course is flat except for a short, steep downhill and a single gentle uphill on each loop. The surface is all grass/packed dirt. The start is at the back of the baseball field near the scoreboard and the finish is between the football bleachers and the baseball field. The course will be clearly marked with both flags and painted arrows. Course maps will be provided in your packets.
