James Island, Hilton Head favorites for team title. James Island's Mary Stewart Wilson and A.C. Flora's Susannah Cate, both sophomores, have run under 19 minutes this season. Twenty-one girls have broken the 20 minute barrier in Class AAA girls.
Hilton Head boys Class AAA team favorite, Eastside second. Individual title up for grabs with six that have run under 16 this season.
Riverside girls look to be team favorite, Carolina Forest's Lisa Pieterse and Aiken's Ashbrook Gwinn both have run under 18-minutes this season.
Mauldin, Wade Hampton and Wando are in contention for team title with defending champion in the top four. Lexington senior Zack Langston is favorite for the team title with eight in the field that have run under 16 minutes this season.

HILTON HEAD ISLAND – Over the past four years, the boys and girls cross country teams at Hilton Head High have either finished as state champs or runners up, and both teams are in very good positions to improve on that remarkable run heading into the 2013 finale next weekend at Sandhills.
