Overall Girls Individual Rankings
1. Angelina Blackmon, Jr., Northwestern- Enough said.
2. Michele Milner, Sr., Aiken- Ran a 5:14 and 11:38 on the track last year along with an impressive 38:32 10k at Cooper River. Fresh off her Eye-Opener win.
3. Vicky Echeverria, Sr., Riverside- Defending state 3a 3200m champion and cross country champion looks to once again come out on top after it is all said and done on November 9th. Finished 2nd this year at Eye-Opener.
4. Kate Prichard, Sr., Daniel- Missed a lot of summer training due to injuries, so will not be sharp early on but always peaks when it counts. Recorded the fastest 3a time last year, running an 18:43, and won 3a state 1600m in 5:14. Should contend for the 3a state title.
5. Amy Laughlin, Fr., South Aiken- Finished 3rd at Eye Opener running a 19:55, which was 11s behind Echeverria. Was the 5th place finisher at last years 4a state cross country meet.
6. Sunday Ford, So., Wren- Showed she can run a solid cross country race after finishing just behind Laughlin at Eye-Opener. Ran a 5:15 this year on the track finishing just behind Prichard. Should be in the hunt for the 3a state title.
7. Jocelyn Veit, So., Lexington- Finished 3rd in the 4a state cross country meet and 5th on the track in the 1600m.
8. Laura Hewston, Jr., Stratford- Was the 6th place finisher at the 4a state cross country championships last year and was a sub 12 3200m runner on the track.
9. Sarah Brinkley, Fr., Dreher- Showed she is ready for a strong cross country season after finishing 9s behind Ford at the Eye-Opener.
10. Elizabeth Embler, Fr., Beaufort- Ran a 11:52 3200m last year on the track and finished 4th in the 3200m at the state meet.
