Directions
Business I-85 remains closed to traffic between Exit 3 (New Cut Road) and Exit 4B (Hearon Circle). This will affect northbound traffic from Greenville, as well as westbound traffic from Columbia. Below are suggested alternative routes.
From Greenville via I-85 North: Take I-85 North towards Charlotte. Take Exit 72. Turn right onto US Highway 176/I-585. Proceed to the Business I-85/North Charlotte exit (no Exit #), which will loop you onto Business I-85. Stay on Business I-85 for approximately 200 yards and exit onto Milliken Road (Exit 5B).
From Columbia via I-26 West: Take Exit 18B onto I-85 North towards Charlotte. Take Exit 72. Proceed to the Business I-85/North Charlotte exit (no Exit #), which will loop you onto Business I-85. Stay on Business I-85 for approximately 200 yards and exit onto Milliken Road (Exit 5B).
Registration
Registration opens on June 1st at 6:00am. Please enter your school and one runner per gender by August 1st. Registration closes on August 30th at 3:00pm.
Entry Fee
There is no entry fee for high schools to compete in the Eye Opener. Please encourage runners and parents to purchase an Eye Opener t-shirt at the meet. This is how we recoup our expenses.

Declarations
Coaches do not need to declare which races they will enter. Please adhere to maximum entry limits (see above).
The International Division is the more competitive varsity division.
Schools may enter only one varsity race per gender.
Schools that aremembers of their state NFHS governing body (SCHSL, NCHSAA, GHSA) or governing bodies approved by these entities (SCISA, NCISA, GISA) may enter either (but not both) varsity divisions.
Schools that are not members of their state NFHS governing body (or governing bodies approved by these entities) mustnot compete in the International Division.
Schools that are members of the GHSA must only compete in the International Division.
Parking
Please plan to arrive early, as there are only two entrances into the Roger Milliken Center. Buses and vans must enter from Business I-85. Other vehicles may enter from either Business I-85 or Boiling Springs Highway/SC Highway 9.Alternative - Consider parking along I-585 Frontage Road.
Parking and admission are free.
Other Important Notes
Athletes must not warm up on the roads or parkinglots of the Roger Milliken Center. There is ample space to warm up behind the start/finish area.
Buildings are off-limits.
Runners are not allowed to wade/swim in the ponds
Schools should bring their own fluids (the arboretum has no water source). There will be limited water (for runners only) at the finish line.
