Heathwood Hall HighlanderInvitational Cross Country Meet

Heathwood Hall School - 3000 S. Beltline Blvd.  

Saturday, August 29th, 2026

Important Details:  

The Heathwood Hall campus will REMAIN CLOSEDuntil 5:30 a.m. at which time it will open for coaches, runners, andspectators.

There is a 28:00 minute cut off for the Varsity race.

Runners unable to complete the race in under 28:00 minutes should beentered in the JV races.

 Race Times:

5:30 a.m. - CampusOPENS

8:30 a.m. - Girls Varsity

9:00 a.m. - Boys Varsity 

9:30 a.m. - Girls JV

10:10 a.m. - Boys JV

11:00 a.m. - AwardsCeremony (on the football field)

 Registration:

Registration can be completed on SC Milesplit.

There is a $150.00per school registration fee ($75.00 for a boys team or girls team). Checksshould be made out to Heathwood Hall School Athletics and mailed to:

o  Attn: BrionnaZimmerman (Director of Athletics)

Fan Entry:

 Each car will becharged $10 for parking on the day of the event.

There will be a $7 prepay option that will close the day of the event. Payment isaccepted through a digital pay link using GoFan or cash - clickheretopayforparkinginadvance.

o  SCISA passes areaccepted.

Fan Expectations:

 No pets, please (except for documented service animals).

 Fans are expected to remain along the course areas. Fans, teams, and coaches are not permitted on

other athletic surfaces (tennis courts, golf facilities, baseball fields,

softball fields, stadium fields, etc.). These spaces are closed for theduration of the event. No additional

athletic equipment or play is allowed (footballs, soccer balls, lacrossesticks, frisbees, etc.)

 Packet Pick-up:

 The race packetswill be located at the large white tent adjacent to the finish chute.

 The location of eachteam's starting box will be identified in your packet.

 Awards Ceremony:

The awards ceremony will begin on the football field as soon as the results are completed.

Plaques will be awarded to the top three teams in the girls' and boys' varsity divisions.

Medals AND T-Shirts will be awarded to the top 15 finishers in the girls and boys varsity races. 

 Results:

The results will be posted on SCmilesplit and sent to The State Newspaper and the Columbia Star.

Course:

The Heathwood Hallcross-country trail is flat except for a short, steep downhill and a singlegentle uphill on each loop. The surface is mostly grass with some packed dirt.The start is on the soccer practice fields adjacent to the football stadium,and the finish chute is between the football bleachers and the baseball field.See below for a map. The course will be clearly marked with flags and paintedarrows. Course maps will be available at the registration table.

Fans will have designatedareas to gather on the race course that will be communicated in advance.

 Parking &Restrooms:

We will send out parking instructions later. We do encourage, where possible, teams to arrive by bus. This helps reduce the amount of traffic coming onto campus. We will have paid parking attendants working to ensure that teams and fans arrive and park as efficiently as possible.

Team Tent Locations:  

 Scroll down and seebelow; please note that team tents should only be set up in designated areas toinclude: the lacrosse field, the infield area of the track, and outside thesoccer practice field on the side adjacent to the track. No tents should be setup anywhere near the staring boxes!

 Concessions:

 The concession standwill be open 7am-10am.
